Helmholtz Munich High Potentials Program for Early-Career Postdocs

The newly established program includes in-person, online and blended learning modules as well as an annual retreat. The fellows will receive comprehensive group trainings and individual support e.g. to develop their academic profile; their third-party funding strategy; expertise in the German academic system; lab, leadership and project management skills; input on scientific collaboration and outreach; mentoring & coaching offers as well as a long-term involvement as an alumnus after completing the program. In addition, scientific symposia and a Scientific Advisory Board will support for the fellows’ scientific progress and exchange across departments.


DZD NEXT Young Talent Program

The DZD NEXT Young Talent Program supports our young scientists within the DZD on their way to scientific independence. Young group leaders can apply with a scientific project every two years. The grants are used to finance a postdoc for two years who will work on the project. 


Postdoctoral Award of Alberta Diabetes Institute

The Alberta Diabetes Institute at the University of Aberta in Canada offers support for exceptional early-career scientists during their first year of recruitment to secure subsequent funding as a trainee up to 2 years after completion of their doctoral degree. Postdoctoral fellows at the Alberta Diabetes Institute can bridge an additional  6 month period with additional funding.
